We’ve been fitting stairlifts across the West and North West of Ireland since 2002. No sales targets, no scripts. Just a small, certified team who take the time to get it right, and who answer the phone themselves.
Twenty-two years, and we’ve never stopped doing this ourselves.
Western Mobility was founded in Castlebar in 2002, fitting stairlifts and home mobility aids across Mayo and the wider West of Ireland. Growth mostly came the old way: one family telling the next.
A while back we made a deliberate choice: to stop trying to be everything to everyone, and focus on the thing we’ve always done best. Today we fit stairlifts. That’s it. One product, one team, done properly, not spread thin across half a dozen different jobs.

You won’t be passed between departments. The same team handles your enquiry from the first phone call through to aftercare.
Survey & advice
The first visit. We measure your stairs properly, talk through straight, curved or reconditioned options, and give you an honest price, including whether a grant applies.
Installation
Certified engineers who fit cleanly and quietly, usually within 48 hours for a straight lift, and walk you through your new stairlift before they leave.
Aftercare & service
Servicing, repairs and spare parts for as long as you own your stairlift, on the same number you called to begin with.
